Mestre Bergman is always on the research of new talents. Today he introduces us to the music of Georgia. Georgia Barnes has spent two years working on her self-titled debut album, coming out this year, but she has been preparing for it all her life with a ravenous music consumption. The London girl’s debut, under the prestigious independent British record label Domino, reveals an omnivorous diet of R&B, post-punk, dub, grime and pop. Drummer with Kwes and Kate Tempest, two of the most interesting talents on the alternative hip-hop scene that has grown in London in recent years, Georgia brought her solo project to light with the EP Come In (2014). The word “solo” is not used in the rhetorical sense: composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, she recorded her debut record by herself in her home studio. She will be presenting it in her first concert in Catalonia.
