Music by Bergman: Aldo The Band

Shaking up styles and wrecking stages with their explosive indie-electronic performance, Aldo The Band are one of the most representative bands of the Brazilian alternative scene. Their acclaimed second album Giant Flea is a good example of how it’s possible to blur the boundaries between synth lines, sequencers and drums machines like LCD Soundsystem with Pavement guitars and Prince vocals. With a non-obviously spicy Brazilian touch, the two brothers André and Murilo Faria open new ways of dialogue between electronic music and indie rock, materializing the urban chaos and night energy of São Paulo city. They have opened for bands such as La Roux, The xx and AlunaGeorge, and owe their name to their crazy uncle, Mr. Aldo, who used to take the brothers through Sao Paulo’s wild nightlife while they were still kids. It’s their time to give it back!
