The hypnotic folk-pop of José Gonzaléz

A Swedish singer and songwriter of Argentinian origins, José González is releasing his third album “Vestiges And Claws” after seven years of silence. His new release is a cosy ensemble of touching folk-pop songs with some new afro hints that indicate  his current passion for African music.

His delicate songs work very well when he plays them with other musicians and also in a solo format, with acoustic guitar. Both facets can be checked out in concerts in which one can also feel the influence of Simon and Garfunkel.

An indie music icon since his debut with “Veneer”, González´s career became solid with “In Our Nature” where he displayed his talent as a singer, instrument player and composer, as well as showing an exquisite taste in renditions such as  the essential Massive Attack´s “Teardrop”. Tonight at Festival Jardins de Pedralbes.
