Hit of the week: The Presets ‘Do What You Want’

Sydney dance veterans The Presets have released their first new single in nearly four years, ‘Do What You Want’.

Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes revealed that the track is the first taste of their upcoming fourth album. Their last full-length was 2012’s Pacifica, which spawned the massive singles ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Youth In Trouble’.

They tapped a number of friends for help on ‘Do What You Want’, with Touch Sensitive playing bass and Kirin J Callinan on guitars — they even managed to rope in Cold Chisel’s horn section. It was all in pursuit, as the duo said, of creating an “techno version of an Aussie pub rock song.”
