4Ever Songs: Laurent Voulzy ‘Rockollection’

Rockollection was first released in April 1977 by French musician Laurent Voulzy with the help of composer and actor Alain Souchon, prolific in records and film themes, although not as well known outside the Gallic borders. On May 6 of that year, it reached the top spot on the charts.

The song includes the choruses of the songs: The locomotion, A hard days’ night, I get around, Gloria, Satisfaction, Mr. Tambourine Man, Massachusetts, Mellow Yellow and California Dreamin ‘ . All of them are linked with a bridge or interlude interpreted in French that recounts the story of a young man not so young and the memories of adolescence that these melodies of the 60s evoke, accompanied by a large chorus of female voices .
