Felicity is the first track to be taken from The Night Café’s currently untitled EP, set to be released on October 6th. Following on from their debut EP, ‘Get Away From The Feeling’, it is the second release from the band which arrived back in March earlier this year.
Despite being notoriously press-shy, Sheer Mag have built quite a reputation for themselves over the past few years. Over the past year Londoner Matt Maltese has been crafting epic-sounding ballads inspired by his love of Leonard Cohen from his bedroom. Now, having signed a deal with Atlantic Records, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter has released his first single of 2017 : “As The World Caves In” taps into the sense of despair felt by many following the outcome of the U.S. election and Britain’s E.U. referendum in 2016 and adds a sense of melodrama and beauty.
Calling in Amsterdam to huge acclaim, showcasing their talents as multi-instrumentalists and expert harmonisers. Cat on synths and electronic drum samples, Jane on guitars and lead vocals and Ruth switching between different instruments to create a dramatic, bold and electric live set which varies from stripped back 80s synth electronica (think New Order), guitar-led punk pop (Blondie) to R&B/funk moments (as in future single ‘Twice’ and the audacious ‘Last Dance’) and even euphoric Grimes-inspired dance builds and drops.

Halfway between London and Mediterranean coasts, the young Alien Tango and his exotic band emerged as one of the most refreshing and unclassifiable groups of the new psychedelia; as bizarre and suitable for the most sophisticated pop. This futuristic kid orchestra made their debut with the EP Supernatural Mango (Red Kashmir Records, 2016), a magma of acid synth melodies, accordion guitars and personal sounds. Going through discosoul and space psych or Indian music, their glam pop places them in the same dimension as Foxygen, Ariel Pink and The Lemon Twigs. Tomorrow in concert at Vida Festival.
