St. Vincent has released new song “Pay Your Way In Pain,” the first single from upcoming album Daddy’s Home. The video was directed by Bill Benz, who also directed The Nowhere Inn, Annie Clark’s upcoming movie written with Carrie Brownstein.
Daddy’s Home was produced by Clark alongside Jack Antonoff and will be released on May 14. It is the first St. Vincent album since 2017’s MASSEDUCTION and the sixth of her career.
Annie Clark, known for her artistic name of St. Vincent, has turned into one of the most interesting artists of the current international scene. And there are plenty of reasons. With the release of her last album Masseduction (Loma Vista, 2017), the american singer-songwriter has laid card on the table with her most personal, emotional and critical album. An album that has hits like the first single and one of the ballades of the year, “New York”, as well as the vibrant and surprising “Los Ageless”.
St. Vincent has announced her new album. Titled MASSEDUCTION, it’s set for release on October 13th via Loma Vista. It marks Annie Clark’s fifth full-length overall following 2014’s impressive self-titled LP.. She accompanied the announcement with the second song from the album, “Los Ageless,” which follows “New York,” released last month
Spanning 13 tracks, the album was co-produced b Clark and Jack Antonoff, and recorded at Electric Lady Studios in Manhattan, with additional recording at Rough Consumer Studio in Brooklyn, and Compound Fracture in Los Angeles.
