Hit of the week: Black Honey ‘Midnight’
Black Honey recently shared their disco-tinged dancefloor beauty ‘Midnight’ and have now gone the extra mile and given us a cracking new video to enjoy.
Surrounded by the grime and gruesome scenes of London’s nightlife the band, namely Izzy, take to the streets and clubs of the capital and encounter everything you might expect from a night out in the Big Smoke. Expect sequins, shine and the suspected debauchery that goes with it.
The clip is deeply set in its retro-look and at over 6 minutes long it has a long time to sink its teeth into the style. Get ready for a night on the tiles courtesy of Black Honey.
‘Midnight’ is taken from Black Honey’s self-titled debut album, released next month.
Ville à Dômat # 218: ‘Indienautes’
Music by Bergman: Black Honey
Black Honey are a four-piece garage/grunge rock band from Brighton, England. They have toured with The Wytches, Superfood and Royal Blood. Lead singer Izzy B. Phillips has beautiful vocals. The catchy guitar drops in many of their songs remind of indie/pop band Peace. They have a completed album that won’t be released anytime soon because they are taking it slow and grasping a feel of what’s in the moment.
How did we get so dark?’ (2017), on s’amplifica tot el que la banda apuntava als seus inicis, mantenint un so que beu del hard rock i el garatge partint d’una base totalment minimal de baix i bateria. Aquesta nit acompanyats per Black Honey al Sant Jordi Club.
