With his highly-anticipated debut solo album arriving in the coming months, former Blaenavon vocalist Ben Gregory has now dropped the next cut to be lifted from his forthcoming full-length.
The new single ‘blue sea blue’ comes accompanied by a brilliant new video, directed by Natàlia Pagès, and follows on from the previously shared tracks ‘manifest*’ and ‘deathbed hangover’ in previewing his first LP ‘Episode’, which is out on the 7th April via Transgressive Records.

The story of Blaenavon’s debut album might be quite easily told: three teenage friends who entered a school talent contest, posted their songs online, and sprawled their way through early gigs, gathering a devoted fanbase and critical acclaim as they went. A band who, after the juggle of exams, EPs, record company attention, have finally delivered a debut album that is sumptuous and thrilling and brave. Hampshire band Blaenavon are one of the sounds of 2017, and That’s Your Lot is sure to be one of the British indie albums of the year.
Blaenavon have delivered a tasteful Elliott Smith cover as part of the new Torch Songs project. Blaenavon chose to cover Elliott Smith‘s wonderful ‘Everything Reminds Me Of Her’ and it’s a supple, simple rendition of a genuine classic.
