‘Blinding Lights’ re-entered the chart during 2021 and for the very-first chart of 2022, its fourth year running in the Top 40. It extends its record as the song with the most weeks in the chart ever, blowing its nearest the competition out of the water. ‘Blinding Lights’ has seen similar success in the US. The song holds the record too for the most weeks ever in the chart. Undoubtedly, ‘Blinding Lights’ has become The Weeknd‘s most-successful song of his career so far.

Divus Julius presents: Cleopatrick

Embracing the raw power and enduring legacy of rock, Cleopatrick are a Canadian duo who combine gritty riffs and fiery beats with hook-filled choruses. Employing a muscular and groove-laden amalgam of classic hard rock and churning alternative rock that evokes Arctic Monkeys by way of Highly Suspect, the group was formed in Cobourg, Ontario, by lifelong best friends Luke Gruntz (guitar/vox) and Ian Fraser (drums). Cleopatrick issued a debut EP, 14, in 2016, followed by a second EP, Boys, in 2018. The following year saw the rock revivalists return with the rollicking single “Sanjake,” and in 2021 they released their first full-length effort, Bummer. Now, they are sharing new single ‘OK’.

Claire Elise Boucher, known professionally as Grimes, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her music has incorporated elements of varied styles, including dream pop, electronic, R&B, and hip hop, while touching on science fiction and feminist themes.

Grimes has shared new song “Player of Games.” A press release states that the song, produced by Grimes alongside The Weeknd-collaborator Illangelo, is the first song off her next album Book 1. The track is also featured in the new season of popular video game Rocket League.
