Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches have been busy working on their allegedly very poppy third album with Greg Kurstin, but they broke their year-long hiatus from the stage earlier this week. As a part of the Holiday Variety Show at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre, Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry and synth player Martin Doherty covered Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.”

Chromatics que estan a punt de treure nous disc, l’esperadíssim “Dear Tommy” van versionar aquesta cançó per un anunci de la marca Mango protagonitzat per les models Kate Moss i Carla Delevigne. La banda de Johnny Jewell embolcalla la cançó en un halo d’hipnòtic dream-pop.
