Liverpool post-punks Clinic are releasing a new album, Fantasy Island, on October 22 via Domino. Now they have shared its third single, which is a cover of Ann Peebles’ “I Can’t Stand the Rain.” The original was the title track to Peebles’ 1973 album of the same name. Clinic’s cover was shared via an Emily Evans-directed video.

Liverpool rock band Clinic have returned this year after a seven-year break with a new full-length release. Wheeltappers and Shunters . The record’s title was inspired by the 1970s ITV variety show “The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club,” which was set in a fictional working men’s club. The post-punk and pop experimentalists first single is “Rubber Bullets.”
