bdrmm are a four-piece band based in Hull and Leeds. Musically, there are nods to The Cure, Deerhunter and DIIV, while the band references RIDE and Radiohead. There are also echoes of krautrock and post-punk, from The Chameleons to Protomartyr, plus the proto-shoegaze of the Pale Saints.
Three years on since their 2020 debut LP ‘Bedroom’, Hull shoegazers bdrmm have announced that their new album ‘I Don’t Know’ will be out on 30th June from their new label home of Mogwai’s Rock Action.

Every new DIIV album is a precious thing; you know the music is going to tug at your heartstrings, and leading up to the moment when it’s official, you can never really be sure if it’s going to arrive. Deceiver is the Brooklyn dream pop band’s third LP, and it emerges—much like their celebrated 2016 sophomore album, Is the Is Are—from a period of turbulence. In February 2017, frontman Zachary Cole Smith posted on Instagram that he’d be checking into “long-haul inpatient treatment” to manage a drug addiction. After going through the program, Smith reunited the band and began making music again. The product of those songwriting sessions would be Deceiver,

Pop in capitals letters from Madrid. Or as they call it hipnopop, an epithet that perfectly sums up the soft fusion of brilliant melodies and delightful psychedelic developments that Baywaves produce following in the footsteps of Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and DIIV. Calm and relaxed psychedelia served up by a quartet that has just landed on the music scene and that has caught everybody’s attention thanks to songs such as “The Freak Kingdom” and “Dreaming”, perfect examples of hazy, acid pop that the band have self-released. Today at Bikini in Barcelona with other bands such as Los Bengala and My Expansive Awareness.
