Shortly after the 2011 death of Clarence Clemons, the E Street Band’s longtime saxophonist and Bruce Springsteen’s right-hand man, his nephew, Jake Clemons, was asked to step into the big man’s shoes.
After announcing a world solo tour that includes US, Ireland, UK, Europe and Canada, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jake Clemons will perform in Catalonia, to present his new album Eyes On The Horizon. The show will take placetonight, at Bikini in Barcelona.
The Boss kicks off the European leg of his The River Tour 2016 in Barcelona, one of his favourite cities, along with his faithful E Street Band. The tour coincides with the release of the box set ‘The Ties That Bind: The River Collection’ (2015), an exhaustive look at the era of Springsteen’s celebrated fifth album, ‘The River’ (1980). The original The River Tour got underway on October 3, 1980, two weeks before ‘The River’ was initially released, and went on until September 1981, with 140 concerts that left their mark on the global audiences, and that the band are now reliving.
