The majestic pop of M83
The majestic and dreamy songs of M83 get their inspiration from 80´s synthpop and are becoming a musical reference in the new millenium.
Anthony González is the French man behind M83. After releasing the third album “Before The Dawn Heals Us” (2005) he became a very requested remixer, working for Depeche Mode, Block Party, Placebo or Goldfrapp.
M83´s sophisticated electronic pop became more ambient with “Digital Shades Vol. 1” (2007) and recovered the song structure with “Saturdays = Youth” (2008). This tribute to eighties music made him become the supporting artist of The Killers before establishing in Los Angeles.
His interest in soundtracks took him to write music for cinema, as well as completing the ambicious orchestral double album “Hurry Up, We´re Dreaming” (2011) that brought the definitive international fame. M83 is back in order to present the brand new “Junk”, inspired by eighties television series, with the collaboration of Beck. Toniight at Festival Jardins de Pedralbes.
