The muses of La Musa: Dora Jar

Dora Jar is an artist who refuses to be defined. By mixing experimental pop with lyrics that unpack mythology, this LA artist is forging a joyous, oddball sound of her own.  In May 2021, she released ‘Digital Meadow’, a dreamy EP which saw her receive co-signs from a host of artists: GrimesWolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell, and Billie Eilish are all part of her rapidly growing fanbase.

A bedroom pop artist who isn’t afraid to walk her own path,  A songwriter with a neat sense of individuality, Dora Jar’s new EP ‘Comfortably In Pain’ is out shortly. She introspectively examines her pain in her latest track, “Lagoon,” the second single from her upcoming EP.

The muses of La Musa: Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher, known professionally as Grimes, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her music has incorporated elements of varied styles, including dream pop, electronic, R&B, and hip hop, while touching on science fiction and feminist themes.

Ville à Dômat: Dreams Come True

The muses of La Musa: r.e.a.l.

They are not only a cool image, although you must see how scandalously magical their photos are. The temptation to get hooked on r.e.a.l just for their fashion design is overwhelming. The music by Isabel and Sara is above the rhetoric of fads and capital letters. The experimental electronic pop music, according to their own definition, of these two Madrid-based Galician artists draws you in because it appears before you soft and elegant and very refined. That is until you stretch out your hand and, ouch, it pricks. Like some of the names that they mention here and there in their interviews (Warpaint, King Krule, Jon Hopkins, Olafur Arnalds, Grimes…) their beauty is all the more beautiful because… it hurts.

Divus Julius presents…Jagara

Calling in Amsterdam to huge acclaim, showcasing their talents as multi-instrumentalists and expert harmonisers. Cat on synths and electronic drum samples, Jane on guitars and lead vocals and Ruth switching between different instruments to create a dramatic, bold and electric live set which varies from stripped back 80s synth electronica (think New Order), guitar-led punk pop (Blondie) to R&B/funk moments (as in future single ‘Twice’ and the audacious ‘Last Dance’) and even euphoric Grimes-inspired dance builds and drops.
