British indie singer/songwriter Declan McKenna first emerged in 2015 with the shimmering, politically charged single “Brazil,” which directly addressed the corruption scandal then engulfing soccer’s governing body, FIFA.
. Obsessed with Bowie and with an attitude recalling The Libertines and Jamie T., McKenna blended bright indie pop with textural lo-fi. He is back with “Be An Astronaut”, the fourth song to be lifted from his second album Zeros, which has just been released.
The Last Shadow Puppets co-frontman Miles Kane is back with a new solo album, his first in five years. Coup De Grace follows 2013’s Don’t Forget Who You Are and arrives on June 8th via Virgin EMI.
As a preview to the release, Kane has shared the lead single, “Loaded”. Recorded in Los Angeles and produced by John Congelton (St. Vincent), the track was co-written with Lana Del Rey and Jamie T. In a press release, Kane describes the hooky, guitar-laden tune as “upbeat and kind of punky.” His last single is ‘Coup de Gras’.
Jamie Treays is a singer-songwriter from London who performs under the moniker Jamie T. He was born in Wimbledon on January 8 1986. He began playing at open mic nights in south west London, after attending one held by Alfie xxx, then of Larrikin Love.
Treays suffered from panic attacks from an early age, a condition that would go on to influence his debut album, ‘Panic Prevention’, as well as series of club nights he ran in the early days of his career and mixtapes hand out at his gigs.

Jamie T has announced a huge UK tour in support of his upcoming fourth album Trick. The “Sheila” singer’s new record has been described as a “brave and eclectic rock/punk/reggae/rap/pop celebration that only Jamie T could make”. It comes two years after his 2014 comeback, Carry on the Grudge, which followed 2009’s Kings & Queens, and sees Jamie T play all instruments alongside longterm collaborator James Dring.
You can tell Jamie T makes music with conviction and takes no prisoners. Every track on “Carry On the Grudge” , his latest album, tells it exactly how he sees it. He can jump from one style to another without ever losing a coherence of sound that is identifiably Jamie T.
His comeback last year was voted the Musical Moment of the Year at this year’s NME Awards , just one of a hat trick of three awards he walked off with. In April he releases an EP “ Magnolia Melancholia” including a cover by the legendary Replacements and comes to Benicassim ready to steal the show and your hearts. Today at 21.45h.
