Aquarama is a combination of modern funk-rnb grooves with vintage-taste melodies and arrangements typical of 60s surf-pop: Aquarama is an Italian band which is always keeping an eye on the world thanks to the innate international attitude of their music that led the duo achieve a prestigious collaboration with the New York disco reference dj In Flagranti and play beside French iconic band La Femme and Canadian nu-jazz ambassador BadBadNotGood. Their brand new album is ‘Teleskop.’
There is no doubt that the French produce uncharacteristically beautiful music, but since the rise and plato of bands like Air and La Femme the market for electro-pop music has left a gapping hole in the French music industry. Since forming in 2015 the duo Agar Agar have created a catchy sound that resonates in the ears of international listeners. Producer Armand Bultheel layers synth minimal beats complimenting the sultry voice of Clara Cappagli, bringing life back into French electro pop.
Segona edició d’aquest festival d’un dia dedicat en exclusiva a bandes franceses i que encapçala el pop i la psicodèlia de la banda de París La Femme, que presentaran el seu segon disc, ‘Mystère’ (2016). Completen el festival els directes de Breakbot, que ens farà ballar amb la seva barreja de disco i funk; Naive News Beaters, que hi afegiran tocs electro i hip hop i Wax Tailor, una de les veus més consolidades del hip hop instrumental francès, que presenta el seu últim disc, ‘Any beats necessary’ (2016). Tancarà la festa al Poble Espanyol un DJ set del dúo musical Cassius i la seva mescla de house, hop hop i funk amb tocs pop rock.
