Best Covers: Orville Peck ‘Born This Way’

Orville Peck turns ‘Born This Way’ into a country road anthem with his brand new Lady Gaga cover. The 10th anniversary edition of ‘Born This Way’ will feature the 14 tracks of the original record, plus 6 reimagined versions by artists yet to be revealed, including ‘The Edge of Glory’, ‘Marry The Night’ and more. The full thing is set for release on 18th June.

The muses of La Musa: Poppy

 Poppy is a musician. While a majority of Poppy‘s videos are short, bizarre sound bites about…something, it’s clear she is first and foremost in it for the music. She came out with an EP called Bubblebath in 2016, and her first full album is titled Poppy.Computer. Her music is catchy and upbeat, Marina And The Diamonds-esque with a dash of early Lady Gaga. But there’s also something about it that’s totally unique, heavily influenced by internet culture and the digital age.

Nonetheless,  post-genre art and music visionary Poppy has released her boundlessly ambitious and nu-metal  new album. I Disagree boasts a variegated nature which embodies “alternative” in the truest sense of the word, as Poppy bleeds the boundaries between pop, progressive, electronic, and metal, underpinned by unpredictable time signature shifts and indelible earworm vocal hooks. The album marks a dynamic and deliberate shift for Poppy.

La diva pop nord-americana Lady Gaga torna per tercer cop al Palau Sant Jordi de Barcelona com a part del seu artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball, la gira de presentació del seu tercer àlbum, ‘Artpop’ (2013). La gira, que va arrencar al maig als Estats Units, va aterrar a Europa al setembre, arriba a Barcelona avui, en la seva única data a Espanya. L’escenari compta amb una passarel·la transparent que s’endinsa a la pista per tal que els Little Monsters puguin ballar-hi a sota sense deixar de veure la Gaga (i potser copsar la seva roba interior, si és que en porta).
