After 10 years of silence on the dance floor, the spirit of funk has finally been revived because Chaka Khan has re-emerged with a new single called “Like Sugar.” The timeless track is a collaboration with Major Lazer member Switch. The Kim Gehrig-directed visual is essentially the dance party of your dreams as a colorful cast of dancers perform choreographed routines while decked out in the freshest fits. Chaka Khan has also signed to the producer’s new label, Diary Records. The Queen of Funk hasn’t released new material since her 2007 album Funk This.
The famous electronic/folk band Crystal Fighters covers *Cold Water* by Major Lazer ft. Justin Bieber & MØ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge! The band has just released their new album “Everything is my famiy”.
Mura Masa & Bonzai both tore up Bestival when they performed in the Big Top at the festival, and the two of them have collaborated again with a cover “Lean On” by Major Lazer for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge segment.
It’s one of the most stripped back covers of this song going with a simple processed drum beat, loop pedal and a guitar to hand.
