The muses of La Musa: CLOVES

 CLOVES, the project of the Australian-born, London-based artist Kaity Dunstan – released her sophomore album Nightmare On Elmfield Road. Here we see CLOVES put her own experiences with anxiety, depression, and inordinate introspection under a microscope. Each track offers a glimpse into her inner monologue as she spirals within herself and embarks on a mental health journey for the first time.

Seeking inspiration, she obsessively curated playlists of nineties favorites such as Portishead, The Cardigans, Sneaker pimps, Nelly Furtado, alongside more obscure choices like Morcheeba, Zero 7, and FC Kahuna.

British band Morcheeba, who started out in the mid-’90s and are led by Skye Edwards, touch down in Barcelona once again to perform their new album, ‘Blaze Away’ (2018). This ninth effort is filled with positivity and marks the start of a new, organic sound, as well as taking a look back at the joy of their earlier days. They span genres and ears with sounds of ’50s blues, ’60s psychedelic rock, ’70s dub reggae, ’80s electropop and ’90s hip hop. Tonight at Razzmatazz.

Morcheeba a Salt

Durant els anys 90 sorgí un moviment anomenat trip-hop que aplegava grups com Massive Attack, Moloko, Tricky o Morcheeba. Aquest estil barrejava tocs electrònics i reposats amb pinzellades de soul, blues i pop. Morcheeba es la perfecta sincronia entre els germans Godffrey i la delicada veu de Skye. Aquesta nit els britànics ens presenten el seu nou disc Head up high en el 10è Black Music Festival a Salt, Girona.
