NYC indie rock band Beach Fossils have announced details of a new studio album, their first since 2017. Bunny is due on June 2 via Bayonet with lead single “Don’t Fade Away” streaming below.

Music by Bergman: Geese

Brooklyn band Geese formed when the five members were in high school, practicing, writing and recording in their basement home studio that they dubbed “The Nest.” The band blend a variety of indie rock and post punk influences for a danceable sound that has room for mathy precision and pop hooks. They made their debut, Projector, between their Junior and Senior year, working on it after school and weekends, all before a 10 PM curfew to avoid noise complaints from neighbors. The band are signed to Partisan / Play it Again Sam, the album was mixed by Dan Carey (Squid, black midi, Fontaines D.C.).

Projector includes recent single “Disco” and the new single is “Low Era” which gives off strong, funky Foals vibes.

Divus Julius presents: Sleigh Bells

Sleigh Bells is an American noise pop musical duo based in Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2008. 

Sleigh Bells seemed to be struggling musically and emotionally on their last two outings, 2017’s Jessica Rabbit and 2018 EP Kid Kruschev. After consciously trying to sound different on those efforts, Miller later expressed frustration about the quality of his own songs on Jessica Rabbit. Some liked the band’s more nuanced direction, but it was its lowest-selling LP. On Texis, their fifth album, Sleigh Bells are ready to rock again.
