The young Barcelona label Luup Records was responsible for the two most popular surprises of last year, Museless and PAVVLA. Now it continues to reveal gems from the local pop scene with the signing of Cor Blanc, a duo formed by Mireia Bernat and Sergi Serra Mir who make their presence felt with only guitars, synth, drum machine and vocals. In June they released their first official single,Alice, dreamy, candid synth-pop that instantly brings to mind Au Revoir Simone and which they will soon follow up with new songs. It is just the beginning of a career which instinct tells us will be outstanding. Today at 12PM at Centre Cultural Albareda within Primavera Club festival.

La jove escocesa Birdy, que va debutar amb 15 anys el 2011 amb un disc de versions de bandes com Bon Iver o Fleet Foxes, defensa avu al Festival Jardins de Pedralbes de Barcelona el seu tercer treball, ‘Beautiful lies’ (2016), amb el qual la cantautora ja fa temps ha consolidat el seu talent. Abans podem gaudir de Pavvla que presentarà el seu primer gran treball “Creatures”.

El Monestir de Sant Miquel del Poble Espanyol es vesteix d’hivern per portar-nos aquest festival que s’avança al nadal i que farà pujar el nostre esperit nadalenc pels núvols. Dos dies en els quals podrem passejar entre food trucks amb delicioses propostes gastronòmiques, un mercat enmig d’un bosc amb interessants propostes de dissenyadors locals, sessions de cinema amb la projecció de films com ‘Love actually’, ‘Solo en casa’ o ‘Que bello es vivir’ entre altres i actuacions en directe de PAVVLA, Deco Pilot, Josh Parker, Gigi McFarlane o Enric Verdaguer.
Behind PAVVLA we find Paula Jornet, a very young Catalan actress and singer who has found the path that connects the folk-ballad to the James Blake smooth electronic music. After settling in Brighton to study at the BIMM, the Sant Cugat artist is preparing her debut that will be released on Luup records at the end of the year, a record from which she has already released the two singles Young and Skin that go to show that she will be one of the great talents of national pop scene. She will be playing this october at Primavera Club.
