The muses of La Musa: Rose Gray

Noting Primal Scream, Massive Attack and Saint Etienne amongst her influences, Rose Gray has been building a name for herself as a rather uniquely British pop star. Lacing her music with her own blend of 90s dance melodies and 00s indie-pop vocals, the budding artist has been creating quite a buzz since releasing her first single last year.

Rose hasreleased her debut mixtape, ‘dancing, drinking, talking, thinking’, last January 2021.

Primavera Sound: Opening Day

The opening day of the Primavera Sound festival is free and open to the public, and it serves to get everyone geared up for the three intense days that follow at the Parc del Fòrum venue. Today you can check out the five-piece Catalan group Anímic, presenting their sixth album, ‘Skin’ (2017), where they feature dance music on an album about our inhumanity; 7 Notas 7 Colores, a band started by Mucho Muchacho along with producer Dive Dibosso, pioneers of hip hop in Spain and authors of one of the key albums of the genre in Catalonia, ‘Hecho, es simple’ (1997), who are back on stages to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album’s release; the elegant electro pop of British trio Saint Etienne, with Sarah Cracknell, Pete Wiggs and Bob Stanley; the combination of pop, Afrobeat and epic rock from Californians Local Natives; and the young Australian artist Sophie Payten.

Avui, el dia que La Musa torna al Temple indie, entrevistarem a la gent de Serielizados que ens parlaran del Serielizados Fest. Divus Julius Bonasera estrenarà el més nou de Feist, Kendrick Lama,r Oh Wonder, Novo Amor, Beth Ditto, Gorillaz i Saint Etienne. Punxarem a noves troballes com Vallès, Will Joseph Cook o Melody’s Echo Chamber. A més, us informarem del Sansan Festival, de la versió més refrescant del Festival’Era, del Món Llibre 2017 i de l’arribada del Tomorrowland a Barcelona.

Primavera Sound 2017: el cartell complert

Abans d’hora, quan ningú s’ho esparava; tot i que fa uns dies el festival ens va sorprendre amb un compte enrere, el Primavera Sound ha desvetllat el cartell complert. Al capdavant d’aquest gruixut cartell hi trobem The XX. Els anglesos publicaran el proper mes de gener el seu esperadíssim tercer disc i tot feia suposar que serian en el festival primaverenc i així ha estat. Entre els altres caps de cartell hi trobem Arcade Fire que repeteixen dos anys després i que de moment no semblen massa posats a publicar nou disc. Els altres dos grans noms del festival seran Bon Iver i Frank Ocean que han publicat recentment els seus nous discs. Un dels grans i veterans icones de l’electrònica, Aphex Twin també formarà part d’aquesta capçalera conjuntament amb veterans con Van Morrison i Grace Jones. A més, un gran elenc de bandes i artistes de les quals destaquem Glass Animals, Metronomy, The Growlers, Whitney, Preoccupations, Saint Etienne,  Local Natives, !!!, Wild Beasts, Alexandara Savior, Formation, Operator o els King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard entre d’altres.
