Inspired by Serge Gainsbourg, Cocteau Twins, Sebastian Tellier and Julian Cope and having played in bands including Swim Deep and Childhood, Tomi Tomaski is now making his introduction as a solo artist with dreamy debut single ‘Pure Air’ and French band Modjo cover ‘Lady.’

Una vida sense música no és vida. Això sí, la música ha de ser bona com la que punxa Divus Julius Bonasera cada dijous a les 10 de la nit. Aquests dijous etrenem la cançó dels Flashy Ice Cream que s’està fent viral a les xarxes sobre la revolta als carrers de Catalunya. Punxem el més nou de Jack Peñate, Julien Baker, Michael Kiwanuka i Fujiya & Miyagi entre d’altres. A més presentem, com ja és habitual, a noves bandes com Chinatown Slalom o Cruel World.

Hit of the week: The Rhythm Method ‘Chin Up’
Paying homage to the World Cup songs that have held their own against time, the London-duo’s latest single is an anthem crossing between New Order and Pet Shop Boys – a combination made for a winner, and that’s what this single does. With a light hearted comedic touch, ‘Chin Up’ successfully captures the nostalgic sing-a-longs, shout-a-longs and brings home the patriotism which seemingly peaks every four years.
Releasing the music video on the same day, the cut features members of Wolf Alice and Swim Deep, as well as capturing the heart of British culture, the love of Football.
FIB: Swim Deep
One of our favourite new bands, Birmingham’s Swim Deep provide the perfect soundtrack to summer. Their sound has hints of 80s dream pop and 90’s shoegaze whilst resolutely sounding NOW.
Contagious tracks like “Honey”, “King City” or “The Sea” show that this is a band on the cusp of something very special and we can’t wait to see them in the summer. Today at 20h at Las Palmas stage.
FIBMaster 2015
Enguany Swim Deep actuaran en les festes de presentació d’aquesta edició del Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, sota el nom de FIBMaster. Swim Deep actuaran a la sala Apolo de Barcelona el 28 d’abril acompanyats d’una altra banda britànica de garatge psicodèlic: The Voyeurs. També hi seran els xilens residents a Barcelona The Zephyr Bones. Enguany el FIB se celebrarà del 16 al 19 de juliol.
Swim Deep, joves i entusiastes
És una de les bandes més joves del panorama underground i una de les que trepitja més fort. Es varen donar a conèixer amb la seva primera cançó King City gràcies a la qual firmaren amb Sony. Estem parlant dels anglesos Swim Deep, quatre joves de Birmingham que aquesta nit seran al Pop Bar de la sala Razzmatazz on presentaran el seu disc de debut Where the heaven are we. El seu so entusiasta i vital sintonitza amb bandes com Two Door Cinema Club. Han estat confirmats pel proper FIB.
