Music by Bergman: Lowertown

Atlanta newcomers Lowertown – aka teens Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg – are a charming prospect. Across their EP ‘Honeycomb, Bedbug’ they spinned properly lovely pop tunes that are a bit like if The Big Moon were more lo-fi. With a handful of singles and a debut album (2019’s ‘Friends’) already in the bag, they’re well on the way to carving themselves out a pretty special spot in the ‘stuff to get excited about’ list everyone obviously has pinned to their noticeboard. 

Now they have announced that their brand new EP ‘The Gaping Mouth’ will be arriving on 16th September via Dirty Hit!

Introducing…Gently Tender

After leaving fans on tenterhooks some years ago about the future of the band, members of Palma Violets have now returned with a new group that sees them collaborate with The Big Moon bassist Celia Archer.

Working under the name Gently Tender, the former Violets Sam Fryer, Will Doyle and Pete Mayhew have teamed up with new guitarist Adam Brown and Archer to unveil their debut single ‘2 Chords Good’, that rekindle that same euphoric indie sound the original band were known for.

Best Covers: The Big Moon ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’

The Big Moon have performed a cover of ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’. The band tackled Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 mega-ballad for the AV Club, and it’s quite something. The clip follows the release of the band’s Mercury-nominated debut album ‘Love In The 4th Dimension’released earlier this year.

Avui, el dia que La Musa torna al Temple indie, entrevistarem a la gent de Serielizados que ens parlaran del Serielizados Fest. Divus Julius Bonasera estrenarà el més nou de Feist, Kendrick Lama,r Oh Wonder, Novo Amor, Beth Ditto, Gorillaz i Saint Etienne. Punxarem a noves troballes com Vallès, Will Joseph Cook o Melody’s Echo Chamber. A més, us informarem del Sansan Festival, de la versió més refrescant del Festival’Era, del Món Llibre 2017 i de l’arribada del Tomorrowland a Barcelona.

Després del nostre “bolo” a París el passat cap de setmana tornem amb molta “joie de vivre“. A més, torna l’enyorat Mariscal Mauro per entrevistar a la gent del Festival Mil·lenni. Divus Julius Bonasera farà un extensiu repàs al cartell del Primavera Sound Festival 2017. Punxarem alguns dels artistes que hi serana com ara Alexandra Savior, The Molochs, The Growlers o la barcelonina Museless. Estrenarem 18 anys després la nova cançó de The Jesus And Mary Chain, el més nou d’Strand of Oaks, Austra o Bonobo i us descobrirem a noves bandes com Corbu, Shy Luv, Bad Sounds o The Big Moon. Parlarem de la Mostra de Cinema Italià de Barcelona i de la 5na mostra de Barcelona International Art Fair.
