Mestre Bergman and his crew flew to Moscow to meet the young underground dance-pop producer/singer Kedr Livanskiy, Her music is inspired by “the otherworldliness of Russian winter”, “the feeling of impending death and transition to another state when winter is over”, Laurel Halo, Autechre, Inga Copeland, and Mazzy Star, among other things such as The Cure.. She has just released a fantastic 12″ called January Sun.
As a band, Sunflower Bean have grown exceptionally fast. On the heels of strong live shows around their Brooklyn hometown and festivals like CMJ, the three-piece dropped an EP earlier this year. Since then, they’ve nailed down tours with the likes of Wolf Alice, DIIV, Best Coast, and others, leading to a staggering 100 performances in the span of just one year. That’s a lot for a fresh outfit, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be slowing down in 2016, as they’ve just announced their debut album, Human Ceremony.
Recorded in just seven days (told you they were speedy), Human Ceremony is set for a February 5th release via Fat Possum. The album sees them refining their psych rock ways into something with a bit more of a fuzzy pop edge, with a press release referencing influences like The Cure, The Velvet Underground, and The Feelies
The Cure ha inclòs Barcelona a la gira de 30 concerts en 17 països d’Europa que farà a la tardor del 2016, la seva primera gran gira pel vell continent des del 2008. Si no comptem el seu llarg concert al Primavera Sound 2012 que la banda no feia parada a la ciutat des d’aleshores.
La gira The Cure 2016 ens portarà la banda de Robert Smith repassant 37 anys de temes de The Cure, barrejant èxits, rareses i temes fins ara inèdits en un nou xou que ningú sap quantes hores es pot arribar a allargar. La banda tocarà al Palau Sant Jordi el proper 26 de novembre 2016 i les entrades es podran adquirir a partir del 4 de desembre. Twilight Sad seran els teloners.

Ville à Dômat: Mondays, I’m in love
Il Dottore ens presenta la versió que els nord-americans Yo La Tengo recentment acaben de publicar de la cançó “Friday I’m in Love” de The Cure. A finals d’agost publicaran el seu nou disc Stuff Like That There que contindrà; d’una banda, noves gravacions de cançons antigues i, d’una altra, versions d’altres cançons. Yo La Tengo seran a Barcelona aquest proper setembre per participar en el nou Tibidabo Live Festival.
