Sweden’s worst kept secret, Viagra Boys is a garage-rock /post-punk band. Their critically acclaimed debut album “Street Worms” was released in September 2018. Back in March, Viagra Boys surprise dropped a new EP called Common Sense. It was pretty great and hinted at more new music on the horizon. Some days ago, the band has returned with news of just that: In January, Viagra Boys will greet the new year with a sophomore outing titled Welfare Jazz. Along with the announcement, Viagra Boys have shared a new song called “Ain’t Nice.”

Hit of the week: Viagra Boys ‘Just Like You’
Swedish punk sextet Viagra Boys are releasing their debut album Street Wormsin just 4 short weeks, and as the excitement mounts, they’ve released a new track from the album called ‘Just Like You’, as well as two non-album b-sides.
‘Just Like You’ sees Viagra Boys turning their usually frosty post punk inside out, revealing a smooth and soulful centre. Replete with subtle electronic percussion, a thick layer of fuzzed bass, prowling guitars and steamy injections of sax and synth, ‘Just Like You’ lures you in with ease. It brings you face to face with singer Sebastian Murphy’s tortured visage, as he vocally works through his shape-shifting vision of the world and his personal history. The song continues to play out in subtle shades, allowing Murphy keep shifting his thoughts without distraction.
