Music by Bergman: Sŵnami

Since their debut album in 2015, Sŵnami (pronounced “tsunami”) has been bringing Welsh-language music to the mainstream without compromising their policy of writing and performing mostly in Welsh. Their blend of shimmering guitars, indie sensibilities, and pure pop melodies has been winning over fans and critics regardless of their understanding of the Welsh language. The band has recorded a BBC Maida Vale session and won the Welsh Language Album of the Year award.

“Paradis Disparu” is the latest single from Indie-pop group SŴNAMI, promsingin the first glimpse of the band’s long-awaited second album SŴNAMI which is set to be released this summer. 

Hit of The Week: CVC ‘Good Morning Vietnam’

CVC have shared details of their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Get Real’. Alongside the announcement, the South Wales rockers have offered a first taste of the album in the form of lead single ‘Good Morning Vietnam’. Ross Orton, who previously worked with Arctic Monkeys, mixed the record. The album is set for release on January 13 via Secret Distribution.

or their 25th anniversary, Stereophonics were all set to compile a second greatest hits collection until singer Kelly Jones rummaged in his archive and found several unused old songs to contribute to a new album. Thus, Oochya! offers an occasionally uneven mix of their trusty hit formula making songs that at their best hit the sweet spot between emotional and anthemic.

Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard’s debut album Backhand Deals, is a rejuvenating homage to unpretentious 1970s classic rock that steadfastly refuses to take itself too seriously.
The Cardiff four-piece, consisting of frontman and guitarist Tom Rees, his bassist brother Eddie, fellow guitarist Zac White and drummer Ethan Hurst, have been the subject of heady excitement since their debut EP The Non-Stop landed in July 2020.
